After the dismantling of the technical Town Hall of the City of Frankfurt am Main, the inner city area between the Dom (the cathedral) and the Römer (the historic Town Hall) as well as the Baubachstraße and the Schirn (art gallery) is being reorganised. The historic city map serves as a model for the urban redevelopment. Via this project, the city regains its heart and a major mistake in its urban development after the Second World War is being revised. Currently, an architectural competition is taking place, to obtain a variety of design ideas for the new contemporary developments. Out of the 40 new buildings, at least eight, which have special significance for the City of Frankfurt, are being rebuilt historically.

ProProjekt was commissioned with the contracting management for the object and technical planning services, which are to be assigned according to the professional services contract regulations and with a European call for tenders.
